LingoCircle | New York, NY
Part-Time | In-Person
Compensation: $35–$45/hour, depending on experience
About LingoCircle
LingoCircle helps children build the confidence to actuallyspeak another language.
Our programs are designed for children growing up in bilingual, multilingual and international families, as well as families who want their children to develop meaningful language skills.
We are launching in-person small-group language programs in Manhattan and are looking for an engaging French teacher to help lead our first NYC classes.
The Role
We are looking for a warm, energetic French teacher who genuinely enjoys working with children.
This is not a traditional grammar-heavy classroom.
Our goal is to get children talking.
Classes should be interactive and conversation-focused, incorporating games, stories, role play, projects and real-life situations that encourage children to use French naturally.
You will initially teach small groups of approximately 5–10 children, with opportunities for additional classes as enrollment grows.
Responsibilities
Who We’re Looking For
Experience teaching bilingual children, FLE/French as a foreign language, DELF, international-school students or heritage French speakers is a plus.
Schedule
Initial classes are expected to take place after school on weekday afternoons and/or Sundays in Midtown Manhattan near the Empire State Building.
The position will begin with a limited weekly schedule as we launch the program, with the opportunity to add additional classes based on enrollment.
Compensation
$35–$45 per teaching hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Potential for increased hours and additional responsibilities as LingoCircle’s NYC programs expand.
Why Join LingoCircle?
You’ll be joining at the beginning of our expansion into in-person learning in New York.
For the right teacher, this is an opportunity to grow with the program, build long-term relationships with families and potentially take on a larger teaching or program-lead role as we expand.
To apply: Please send your résumé and a short introduction explaining your experience teaching French to children and why you’re interested in LingoCircle. Email: info@lingocircle.com
